Caladdi B&B is situated approx. 7.5kms from where Nelson Mandela, our beloved former President, was captured and arrested on 5 August 1962 by the apartheid security police. The exhibition and sculpture are open daily from 9am-4pm. Please note that it is quite a long walk down to the iconic sculpture pictured here, and one that toddlers may battle with.

There you’ll be able to stock up on the well-known craft beer, made on the property, including varieties such as Tiddley Toad or Pickled Pig. Please note the brewery shop is open Tuesday to Saturday 8am-5pm; Sundays from 8am-3pm. It’s closed on Mondays.
033 330 3415 – This is an exciting outing for the adventurous. Situated 10 mins from Howick, the tour costs R595pp – or book through Caladdi B&B and receive a 10% discount. Each tour lasts between 2 – 4 hours.
If you’re an avid mountain biker you will love the area we’re situated in. Caladdi is surrounded by amazing trails, and we can advise you on routes. Wayne is able to advise in this regard, he knows the trails as he rides them often. We’re so lucky to have this all on our doorstep.
If it’s a round of golf you’re looking for, we have beautiful courses nearby. Gowrie Golf Course on the Midlands Meander (033 266 6348) or Bosch Hoek Golf Club at Balgowan.

Caladdi’s rating: Highly recommended for relaxed dining. This family run restaurant on the Dargle/Impendle Road was established in February 2009. They welcome children and have a fenced play area and jungle gym. They are open for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Sunday.

We’re 5 mins away from the gorgeous ZULU LULU ART HOUSE at the popular Piggly Wiggly centre. ZULU LULU is a contemporary South African ceramic studio producing the collectable ‘Dlamini’ family of figurines. Trayci and Stuart Tompkins bring together a mix of their favourite Fine artists and Ceramic makers in their country gallery.
